Paddle Board Hire

Hire a paddleboard and explore Whangamata's pristine waterways - ocean, harbour or estuary.

Whangamata is a popular holiday destination for kiwi's during the summer and surfers all year round.  At either end of Whangamata Beach are estuaries that are great for exploring by SUP (stand up paddleboard).

Take a Freedom Hire for 2 hours, explore the estuary or venture off the coast and explore the Wild Life Santuary Whangamata Islands and Beach, to a secluded turquoise lagoon surrounded by native fauna and volcanic cliff rock.

Free your time to stop by and enjoy the hire.

RENTAL PRICES

  • $20 for 1 hour
  • $30 for 2 hours
  • $45 for a half day / 4 hours
  • $55 for a full day / 8 hours
  • $65 overnight

This cost includes a paddle board, life jacket and dry bag. Wetsuits can be hired for $5 extra.

WHERE TO MEET

We meet at the SURFSUP trailer at the end of Island View Road (beach access 14), 15 minutes before the tour. After payment and disclaimer are done, we will give you your gear and the tour will start!

Please observe that all tours and hires are weather dependent. As conditions can change on daily and even hourly basis, we request all customers to call before hand to confirm their bookings. We are not responsible for any inconvenience if tours have to be cancelled last minute due to weather conditions.
